Every business tries to provide good customer service – it is the cornerstone of running a successful one. However, the quality of customer service varies greatly from company to company. Very little money is spent on ways to improve customer service and there is no doubt that bad, or even average, customer service is costing businesses money. Serious work needs to go in to this area.

Customer service should be a company ethos and it needs to come from the top down. If the bosses in a company don’t care about customer service, how can you expect other employees to care? Another interesting point is that customer service roleplay is now an antiquated notion and modern businesses are trying techniques such as experiential learning.
